Your pets will likely become infected with intestinal parasites sometime in their lifetime. However, with regular parasite screening and preventive measures, these infections can be avoided. Parasites such as hookworms, roundworms, tapeworms, Giardia, and whipworms. We can detect these early and effectively manage and eliminate them, empowering you to take control of your pet’s health.
It’s crucial to understand that some intestinal parasites can also infect humans. This shared risk means no pet is immune, whether they live indoors or outdoors. This underscores the importance of a comprehensive parasite control program.
Your pet can become infected from faeces containing eggs or larvae, or from their infected mothers while in the uterus. We can detect these via faecal analysis with the help of AI in our state-of-the-art in-house laboratory. We will require a fresh stool sample for the tests.
Screening provides us with information about exposure and whether further testing and treatment are needed. We recommend at least twice yearly screening for pets. Early intervention is the difference between a lifetime of good health or in the worse case, death.
